Yes, our zinc-based sun protection products have been formulated to be gentle on all skin types, including sensitive skin. They are free from harsh chemicals and fragrances.

How often should I reapply your sun protection products?

Yallingup Zinc is a physical blocker to UV rays. Apply a good layer of zinc to your face. If you can see it then it’s protecting you! Reapply if your zinc has been wiped away by towels, goggles or longer periods in the water. Remember to apply a good layer for best protection!

Our face oil is specially formulated for gentle and effective removal of zinc sun protection products, ensuring your skin is cleansed without harsh chemicals.

Does Zinc Sun-protection expire?

Zinc sun protection does not technically expire because zinc oxide, the main ingredient, does not lose its ability to protect your skin over time. Unlike regular sunscreen, which absorbs UV rays, zinc oxide reflects them. However if your tin of Yallingup Zinc changes in colour, smell, or consistency, it may be a sign that the ingredients have become unstable and are no longer optimal for your skin. Most mineral sun protection creams and lotions can last up to 24 months if stored in a cool, shaded place. However, it's recommended to get a new tin if the odour has changed, the consistency has changed, you have had it for over a year and a half, or you are almost out.
